Claire White is the founder of Mewzoom and the driving force behind the brand’s philosophy, product direction, and long-term vision.
After 12 years of living with cats, Claire understands the everyday challenges faced by modern cat families. Cats need places to climb, observe, scratch, hide, play, and rest. Yet conventional cat furniture is often bulky, unstable, difficult to clean, prone to collecting fur, and visually disconnected from the rest of the home.
She saw that many cat parents were being asked to make an unnecessary compromise. To support their cats’ natural needs, they often had to accept a pet product that was unattractive, short-lived, or difficult to maintain. When they prioritized the appearance of their home, their cats’ genuine behavioral and spatial needs could easily be overlooked.
Claire began asking a question that would eventually define Mewzoom:
Why shouldn’t a cat tree be designed with the same care as a genuine piece of furniture?
That question became the starting point of the brand.
Under Claire’s leadership, Mewzoom has remained focused on modern solid wood cat furniture designed around stability, safety, durability, easy maintenance, and visual harmony within the home.
Her goal is not simply to sell cat trees. It is to reconsider what cat furniture should look like, how it should function, and what role it should play in the modern household.

Leo Carter leads Mewzoom’s product design team, translating the brand’s philosophy into functional structures and real-world experiences.
With nine years of experience in pet furniture and residential product design, Leo focuses on structural logic, functional zoning, movement pathways, and the relationship between cat furniture and the surrounding interior.
The team does not pursue complexity for its own sake. Every design must answer two practical questions:
Does the product feel natural for the cat to use?
Will the family be comfortable keeping it in the home for years?
Under Leo’s direction, the team studies jumping routes, platform dimensions, turning space, observation height, scratching behavior, sheltered resting needs, and the ways cats move between different levels.
For large cats and multi-cat households, additional attention is given to structural stability, weight distribution, wider resting surfaces, and how several cats may use the same piece at once.
A Mewzoom cat tree is not intended to be a random collection of platforms, posts, and enclosures. It is designed as a complete vertical living environment shaped around the rhythms of a cat’s daily life.
Solid Wood Materials and Craftsmanship
Nora Brooks

Nora Brooks leads Mewzoom’s solid wood materials and craftsmanship team. With 12 years of experience in wood furniture, she specializes in material selection, structural strength, surface treatment, edge safety, and long-term durability.
Mewzoom’s commitment to solid wood is not based on appearance alone.
Natural wood brings warmth, visible grain, and a sense of permanence to the home. Its smooth surfaces are also generally easier to wipe clean than heavily upholstered cat trees, making it especially appealing to households that want to reduce trapped fur, dust, and ongoing cleaning pressure.
Under Nora’s direction, the team evaluates the details that determine how a product performs over time:
Is the platform sufficiently solid?
Are the edges carefully finished?
Are the connections secure?
Can the surfaces be cleaned easily?
Will the structure withstand repeated climbing, jumping, and everyday use?

Stability and Product Testing

Sam Cooper leads Mewzoom’s stability and product testing team. His work focuses on load capacity, structural connections, dynamic force, movement control, and the risks that may emerge over years of repeated use.
Cats do not use cat furniture while standing still. They leap, climb, sprint, turn, land, and sometimes occupy several levels at once. For that reason, static weight capacity is only one part of Mewzoom’s evaluation process.
Under Sam’s direction, the testing team examines base stability, platform strength, connection integrity, movement under dynamic loads, long-term structural performance, and the behavior of a product when used by large cats or several cats simultaneously.
In selected load-bearing areas, Mewzoom uses 10 mm reinforced steel tubing to provide additional structural support for large cats, frequent jumping, and multi-cat household use.
This reinforcement is not intended to change the character of the product as solid wood furniture. Instead, it adds reliability in both the visible and hidden parts of the structure.
We believe stability should never exist only as a marketing claim. It should be felt every time a cat jumps, lands, climbs, or settles into place.

The goal is to help Mewzoom furniture coordinate naturally with sofas, flooring, cabinetry, lighting, and the broader architectural language of the home.
We do not believe that creating a meaningful space for a cat should diminish the quality of the human living environment.

Mewzoom’s sustainability and social impact direction is led personally by founder Claire White.
We believe durability is itself a form of sustainability.
When furniture is designed for a longer life, families need to replace it less frequently. This can reduce unnecessary material use, packaging, transportation, and waste associated with short-lived products.
Under Claire’s direction, Mewzoom plans to develop a long-term responsibility program involving durable product design, replaceable components, more environmentally considered packaging, animal-rescue partnerships, adoption awareness, donation commitments, and carbon-offset initiatives.
The brand intends to prioritize partnerships with cat-rescue organizations, animal-welfare groups, community-cat programs, and adoption initiatives, while gradually publishing more information about its partnerships and measurable impact.
We want the growth of Mewzoom to benefit not only cats already living safely in family homes, but also those still waiting for rescue, care, and adoption.
